Dick 'n' Dave

During a hectic period of about 5 years from 2004, Dick 'n' Dave trod the boards across South London and occasionally they even went across the River throwing out their blend of ‘South London Folk’.

Over two hundred appearances from local Fair to Open Mic they played...from The Canizaro Festival to The Colour House Theatre. From Merton Abbey Mills to Earls Court's The Troubadour. From the Rialto Club to the Cartoon. Dustbowl to the Maypole.

Troubadours with nods to Neil Young the Beach Boys, Gram Parsons and The Kinks. Political and Romantic. Mandolin, guitars, harmonicas and very occasionally a Trombone! Two singer songwriters who found enormous enjoyment and live success in their collaboration but who never released studio recordings.

The fun stopped when Dave moved house. Not up the road but to Australia! 2026 marks the Dick 'n' Dave 20 something anniversary of their performing together and to mark the date Dave Helmore will return from Melbourne and will be joining long time friend of the sound Lounge Dick Philpot for The Legendary Dick 'n' Dave Reunion!

Dave lives with his family in Melboure still peforms live and is one of the Southern Hemispheres last remaining Squeeze box repair men! Dick Philpot remains South London based and has recently released a three track ep ‘Travels with Nat and Luke’. Both can be found on Spotify and across digi streaming platforms.
