Isaac Neilson (Gig A Day Guy, Day #322) + opening guest Little Lore
We've got the Gig A Day Guy! Indie rock-leaning singer-songwriter Isaac Neilson has taken on the challenge of performing a show every single day in 2026 – and by the time he arrives at the Sound Lounge, he'll be on gig #322 and within a few weeks of achieving his goal.
Isaac says his purpose with this bold project is "to find my audience, while highlighting the importance of grassroots venues, artists, and the communities that define our local scenes." You couldn't come up with anything that's a better fit for our own ethos at the SL, so we really hope you'll come along and support him!
Neilson has been plotting his adventures with daily social media posts from each venue up and down the country. This could your chance to be in one! He's also been getting major national coverage on TV, radio, press and online. The Guardian ran a feature about him in August, in which he said "I was in a position where I could maybe put a deposit on a house or I could do this crazy experiment. I chose to go all in on the music.”
But there's more! The SL is really happy to have an opening guest set by Little Lore, the alter-ego of London based indie-Americana singer-storyteller Tricia Duffy, whose new album 'Being Serafina' we're really enjoying.
Tricia is famed for singing short long-stories, and her songs are a charmingly accessible and beguilingly challenging combination of British wit and wordplay with cherished Americana roots.
She began writing and performing her own material with Americana duo Duffy & Bird, who released the well-received album ‘5 Lines’ in 2017 and a follow-up EP ‘Spirit Level’ in 2019. She created Little Lore in 2020, during the pandemic, releasing an eponymous debut solo EP in 2021 to glowing reviews. After three more EPs, 'Being Serafina' followed in June.
Tricia is also the is the London Chapter Coordinator for the Nashville Songwriters Association International, writes with other international artists and for sync and hosts the award-winning podcast 'In Ten Years Time.'
