Mokat + Three Random Words + JOLBA
December's New Bands Night, presented by Matt Helm features a trio of great bands! JOLBA have been rocking out our Open Mic for months now and we're really excited to get them on for a full set. Three Random Words are a fresh incarnation of Chris Cauduro's rock/blues band that wowed the audience at their New Bands Night performance last year. Mokat are back to showcase their original material having had a successful year of releasing their own songs to go along with their infectious covers of well-known classics.

JOLBA began life as the solo studio project of Jack Blade, former frontman of The Bugles. In seeking to jump from the studio to playing live, Jack brought his brother Tom onboard and since 2025 they have played as a two piece with two guitars and a stomp box. Inspired by acts from The Replacements, to Jamie T, to The Specials expect upbeat, energetic music with infectious riffs as they meld Indie Rock with Two Tone - https://www.instagram.com/jolbasounds/
Three Random Words are a rock power trio with their feet firmly planted in classic rock and blues, and a healthy dose of indie attitude. Think big guitar riffs, tight rhythms, grooves that get you moving, and the occasional softer moment. They’re bringing it all to the Sound Lounge stage to celebrate the launch of their debut EP, Ground Floor. - https://www.instagram.com/threerandomwordsband/
Mokat are an exciting emerging band from Guildford. Their originals appeal to a wide audience from their slow melodic tracks to fast striking songs. Within their first year MoKat have already performed across the UK in notorious venues like, Dublin Castle (Camden), The Cavern (Liverpool) and Half Moon (Putney). Additionally festivals such as Isle of Wight festival, lake fest, car fest and camp Bestival. The band finished 2025 with a photoshoot by renowned industry photographer “Scarlet Page”. 2026 will see the release of MoKat’s first EP - https://www.instagram.com/mokat.official/
